Being Nimble – What does it mean?
The Scalable Capability for Organizations to Sense and Respond to Change
This is how the International Institute of Business Analysis ™ (IIBA®) defines “Nimble”. Why is Nimble relevant, what is new? Are we already nimble enough – in its original sense?
I am writing this article after having worked with Keith Ellis, the Chief Growth Officer at the IIBA, since a couple of months on the subject of Nimble. It started with a phone call in Spring ’22 where Keith showed me an early version of Nimble and after I had skimmed the content I immediately asked “Hey, Keith why is this still unknown in Europe? We have to bring it here!”. No sooner said than done, we did this together by running a closed online roundtable workshop with four big European enterprises in June. The echo from the European industry was promising. We got great feedback which we in turn applied to Nimble.
